Ugh. I’ve been home for almost three days now with some kind of cold/flu thing. Runny nose, stuffy head, dizziness, nausea; such fun. When I called in sick to work a friend told me I probably had West Nile virus (more info ); sure beats a Get Well card, eh? *ha*
So far I think my home remedy is working fairly well. 6 Blockbuster movies, plenty of soup, orange juice, gatorade, and bed rest. Of course by now I think my worst symptom is boredom. Oh well…
Want to know how I knew I was sick, finally? I didn’t feel like getting on the computer. That’s solid proof, every single time. My computer is practically an extension of me, now. I use it for finances (or what is sometimes the lack thereof), education, communication, entertainment, and - overall - organization. The question is, does technology help or hinder a person? I tend to see both sides of the coin; the benefits of technology are apparent every single day. Are we too dependent on technology, though? I bet I could figure it out with a better computer…
