The good thing about opinions is that they don’t have to be backed up with facts

News from the Battlefield

Of course, by battlefield I refer to the tooth-pulling, uphill battle that customer service has become (more info ). The good news is that I won: Handpsring finally agreed to replace my defective phone. Gee, how gracious of them. It only took me 15 days and over 12 hours on the phone to get the issue resolved.

Granted, if I had used my as a golf tee or maybe a chock behind the wheel of my Hummer (yeah right) when I park on a hill, I would understand their reluctance to replace my phone. Alas, I simply turned it on one day to find that the speaker had quit working.

I’m still trying to figure out the moral of this whole experience- perhaps it’s all simply the price I pay to have high-tech gadgets. Did I mention I forked over the $$ for a phone upgrade? My Treo 180 will be replaced by the snazzy full-color . Maybe when this one breaks I’ll get a clue and convert to .

By the way… Is it just me, or is it ironic that returns about 3,860 hits when one searches for ?
